On September 9th, 2020, Matrix Early Head Start Child Care Partnership (EHS/CCP) wanted to show appreciation to the teachers and center managers who provide their own Head Start services with support from Matrix. After lengthy preparations to re-open safely during Coronavirus, we wanted to show our appreciation for their hard work and dedication to the children and families with welcome-back gift baskets and goodies.

Matrix Early Head Start Child Care Partnership (EHS/CCP) program is an initiative that provides families with flexible and convenient full-day/full-year services from center-based Child Care Providers as well as Family Child Care Homes. Through this partnership, the Child Care Centers and Family Child Care Home Providers have access to resources to provide the comprehensive services needed to support better outcomes for the Nation’s most vulnerable children.

Kathleen Coakley, Matrix Human Services Director of Early Head Start / Child Care Partnership had this to say,

“We are at our A&W Bright Beginnings Child Care Center. We decided a few weeks ago as a staff that we wanted to put together a wellness basket for our Child Care Providers because they are our community heroes. They are our first line essential workers. In order to boost our economy in Michigan, our Child Care Centers must be open. They are now open and fully running and we wanted to put together an acknowledgement of them as our community heroes. So we put together these wonderful baskets and some goodies. We’re gonna have a fun day tomorrow with some activities on our Zoom call…”
