JOB SUMMARY / ACCOUNTABILITY

Responsible for the supervision of the Drivers and Facilities Associates to provide support to the Administrative office, Programs, and Head Start as it relates to maintenance, deliveries, supplies administration. Responsible for project management administration.

POSITION QUALIFICATIONS

  • Associates or Bachelor degree in business or a related field preferred
  • Five (5) years of Maintenance/Custodial experience
  • Must have a good driving record
  • Three (3) years of supervisory experience, preferably in a Head Start or Non-Profit environment
  • Previous experience in operating industrial cleaning equipment required
  • Excellent customer skills
  • Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to multi-tasks
  • Must be familiar with Outlook, and the Microsoft Office Suite
  • Solid organizational skills
  • Good verbal and written skills
  • Strong time management skills

 

GENERAL RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Expected to be knowledgeable of the regulations associated with prevention of occupational disease and injury, including the exercise of universal precautions and the prevention of contamination.
  • Supervises Building/Maintenance Supervisors, Custodians (dotted line), Facilities Associates and Drivers
  • Provide ongoing support and training to staff
  • Responsible for evaluating staff’s performance and addressing issues and concerns
  • Responsible for moving furniture and equipment, driving to different locations
  • Responsible for minor building repairs in the center as needed.
  • Completion and maintenance of inventory
  • Assist with food deliveries as needed
  • Responsible for delivery to all sites including food and supplies.
  • Responsible for monitoring the repair and maintenance of program vehicles and report all issues to Manager.
  • Maintain the stockroom and monitor the distribution of supplies and equipment to centers.
  • Back-up for the purchase order and work order systems
  • Assist with In-Kind Coordinator requests
  • Responsible for monitoring the repair and maintenance of program vehicles and report all issues to Manager.
  • Responsible for project management administration, including but not limited to creating spreadsheets, maintaining a task log, etc.
  • Responsible for Environmental testing ( Water, Clear Air, Mold)
  • Responsible for Fire and Safety Reports, Fire suppression systems, Emergency lights, etc.
  • Maintain the stockroom and monitor the distribution of supplies and equipment to centers.
  • Picking up and delivery of pertinent information to different locations
  • Assist in custodial duties when necessary.
  • Assist in monitoring and evaluating staff.
  • Must be involved in ongoing professional development.
  • Obtain required Food Handler’s training
  • Special requests and projects as assigned by Director of Facilities and/or Building & Maintenance Manager
  • Available for on call outside of regular work hours as needed
  • Other related duties as assigned.

 

WORKING AND ENVIRONMENTAL CONDITIONS:

Works in a normal office environment with usual pressures of managing personnel and dealing with time constraints. Because of multiple sites within the department and the need to meet with others within the community, it is common to drive to several locations, sometimes in inclement weather.

  • High level of daily repetitive motion.
  • Standing and walking for most of an 8-hour work day.
  • Frequent daily bending and may lift of up to 50 lbs.
