A Message from Matrix Human Services CEO, Brad Coulter

Greetings,

I want to express how excited I am to finally be at the end of stages of COVID and returning daily operations to a more normal state. While we continued serving clients throughout COVID, we understand that helping our clients in person is the real impact. It is our pursuit to give people hope. In the world of virtual meetings, human connection is still vital.

With that said, I look forward to enjoying the 2023 ArtWorks Detroit experience with you and thank you for your involvement. Your impact goes beyond the ArtWorks event, powering critical services and programs designed to close the needs gap for underserved Detroiters. These resources provide a hand up NOT a hand out, allowing beneficiaries to rise to self-sufficiency.

Over the last year, Matrix has continued making difference in the lives of the Detroit community. With your support, not only has our Adult Services program grown exponentially, but it also has helped to become a catalyst of support to our Head Start parents.  Job training, housing counseling, financial literacy, and online high school diplomas are just a few programs offered to families to help them achieve a higher standard of living and self-sufficiency.

I am happy to share that we will begin the second phase of our Matrix Center renovation. This 60,000-square-foot community center at E. McNichols and Gratiot is an anchor of the Osborn neighborhood. This makeover will help the Center shine as a continued beacon of hope and inspiration.

Matrix appreciates the support we get from everyone. We’re headed in the right direction and plan to make an even more significant impact in people’s lives this year.

Regards,

Brad Coulter
