Matrix Mission Breakfast presented by Ford Fund Raises $80,000!

To the sponsors, event attendees and hundreds of donors involved in our 2018 Matrix Mission Breakfast fundraiser, we can not thank you enough for your generosity! By investing in our mission you’ve directly impacted the thousands of children and families we serve across Detroit each year.

Everyday we work to Educate Children, Support Families, and Rebuild the Community Neighborhoods. Because of you, we raised $80,000 that will directly support our mission!

MARIO SUCCEEDS AT MATRIX HUMAN SERVICES HEAD START

Mario is four. He loves going to school and looks forward to seeing his friends. He is especially fond of his teacher Talia.

Mario also has spina bifida and faces some serious challenges. With no strength in his legs, he is only mobile by way of his wheelchair or crawling, but he never lets that get in the way of having fun and learning at school!

Mario’s sister attended Matrix Head Start and after his mother researched the best program for his needs, she decided Matrix was right for him.

INSPIRING MATRIX CLIENT STORIES OF SUPPORT, EMPOWERMENT & SUCCESS

At Detroit’s Matrix Human Services Center (The Matrix Center) our Midnight Basketball & Boxing program and youth programs at The Matrix Center all work to provide local youth with after-school and after-hours activity options. We work to connect our youth with role models, academic support, and positive experiences to keep them engaged in activities and off the streets. Encouraging community involvement and leadership helps to ensure their successful futures!

Taking place on May 15, 2018 at the Detroit Athletic Club in Downtown Detroit the event brought together hundreds of local business leaders and community supporters to highlight the work of Matrix Human Services and the accomplishments of our clients. Guests enjoyed a plated meal, networking, inspiring stories and were encouraged to get involved.
