HEAD START
Read to Preschoolers: Share the joy reading with young children and ignite a love for learning.
Volunteers Needed: Individual and Groups up to 5
Frequency: During the school year, Tuesday-Thursday 9:30am to 10:30am
Location: Matrix Head Start Center in Detroit
Beautification Project: Spring clean-up and light landscaping of playground areas at 13 Head Start centers throughout Detroit.
Volunteers Needed: Group up to 10
Frequency: Weekdays in spring Monday-Friday, between 8:30am and 3:00pm

YOUTH SERVICES
After School Academic Counseling: Partner with our Youth Services Team to assist youth ages 10-17 after school academic support, substance abuse prevention, conflict resolution, cultural activities. Opportunities are also available for individual counseling and college preparation.

Frequency: After school 4:00pm to 6:00pm

Host a Workshop: Partner with our Youth Services Team to design an educational (ex. money management, academic skills, life skills) or recreational workshop for youth ages 10-17

Frequency: During Spring Break, Winter Break or Summer Break between 9:30am and 2:00pm

COMMUNITY HEALTH
Packaging Supplies: Join the Community Health staff to package outreach materials and supplies for HIV/AIDS prevention and treatment.
Volunteers Needed: Individuals and Groups up to 5
Frequency: Weekdays in spring Monday-Friday, between 8:30am and 3:00pm
Location: Matrix Head Start Centers in Detroit
Event Support: Help set up and work information booths at Community Health events.

Frequency: Pride Event/National AIDS Test Day in June/World AIDS Day in December

SENIOR SERVICES
Food for Health: Join the Senior Services staff to pack and load food boxes for delivery to families and seniors living in Detroit.

Frequency: 2nd and 4th Tuesday of each month, 10:00am to 12:00pm
Location: The Matrix Center
Senior Activity Days: Join the Senior Services to assist with indoor and outdoor activities hosted quarterly in Detroit.

Frequency: Weekdays during scheduled quarterly activity days

THE MATRIX CENTER
Food Distribution: Join the staff of The Matrix Center and community volunteers to distribute food to families in the community.
